One Yellow Balloon is an ongoing, image-based work that follows a single object moving through different landscapes, moments, and relationships.

At first, it was simply an object carried into different spaces. Over time, it became something else — a way of being present without full visibility. A way of showing up, quietly.

The work sits between self-portrait and collaboration. Each image depends not only on the figure in the frame, but also on the person behind the camera — someone who determines when that presence is held, and when it is released. The act of being seen, and allowing that to happen, shifts over time.

There was a period where the work paused. Not because the idea had ended, but because something within it no longer felt possible. Its return carries a different weight. The gesture remains the same, but the context has changed.

The balloon remains constant — light, fragile, and easy to lose. It carries traces of something before, while continuing to move through new places and moments.

Rather than representing something fixed, the work traces a process of finding place again — slowly, and without the need for clear definition.

Just a yellow balloon, wandering, and waiting to be found.
