I’m Rach (she/her).

Made in Canton, shaped in Australia — with a past life serving 鴛鴦 in Hong Kong-style cafés and selling UGG boots at Paddy’s Market while quietly building a portfolio on the side.

Now I’m a freelance senior creative, moving between places, projects, and ideas — following whatever feels interesting enough to explore.

My work sits between structure and instinct. I build simple visual systems that hold emotional and conceptual ideas, letting clarity and feeling shape each other across branding, illustration, and visual storytelling.

I’ve worked across branding and advertising in Australia and the UK, developing campaigns within agencies including Ogilvy & Mather Sydney, McCann London, Common Ventures and Orchard. I’ve been freelancing since 2011, working across both agency and independent projects.

I also enjoy working closely with smaller clients across very different worlds — from film scriptwriters to accountants to renewable energy startups — helping turn loose ideas into brands with clarity and personality.

Alongside client work, my art practice becomes a space for exploring identity, emotion, and contradiction. It moves between illustration, painting, and murals — sometimes structured, sometimes more instinctive, always led by curiosity.

Projects like Cats of Newtown and One Yellow Balloon sit in that space — one grounded in everyday observation and visual systems, the other unfolding as a quieter study of presence, memory, and emotional weight. I’m currently developing a series of illustrated works exploring grief, memory, and emotional landscapes.
