Project:
Happiness is…
Medium:
Digital illustration / Ink on paper / Graphic pen / Acrylic paint
Happiness is is a series of illustrations exploring what happiness looks like in its smallest, most ordinary forms — the kind that often go unnoticed until you pause long enough to see them.
Across the series, these quiet snapshots build a gentle archive of small joys — simple, familiar, and universal.
As the project evolved, it began to shift inward. These moments started to echo memories of childhood, where happiness felt immediate and uncomplicated. From there, the work expanded outward again — into conversations with children around me. I asked them what happiness meant, and translated their answers into drawings for them to colour in.
What began as a personal reflection gradually became something shared — a collection of small, honest definitions of happiness, seen through different ages, voices, and ways of understanding the world.
